Prof. Benjamin Onyango from Missouri State University in the US arrived at Machakos University on 1st April 2019 and will stay for a period of 90 days. Prof. Onyango will be working with Prof. Charles Ombuki, the Dean, School of Business and Economics to initiate deliberations in establishing a Masters degree in Agricultural Economics in the School. Prof. Onyango, who specializes in Agricultural Economics will besides discussing initiatives to start the program, train and mentor academic staff and students, review Agricultural Economics related courses, present his research in upcoming conference and offer training on successful grant writing.
